Who We Are: We are the Shurland Bowmen Archery Club A small band of Archers who can be found in the woods most weekends, regardless of wind, rain, hail or snow. As of the 3rd of July, we will have our own private woodland just south of Bodium Castle in East Sussex. Our archers use a variety of different bows, the favourites being the Long Bow and Recurve, although Compound Bows and Crossbows also make their appearance. Many of our members are also keen re-enactors and are members of the Medieval Siege Society. This means that some weekends during the summer months there may not be anybody at the woods, so if you're interested in visting us, its best to check that there will be someone there.
